Die nächste Deadline für Projektanträge bei der European Cultural Foundation ist der 1. März 2009. Unter dem Titel “Making Collaboration Work” können europäische Kultureinrichtungen gemeinsame Projekte einreichen, die Zusammenarbeit fördern sollen. Die maximale Fördersumme beträgt € 30.000,–. Von 328 Anträgen konnten lediglich 27 für eine Förderung ausgewählt werden. Eine doch recht “kompetitive” Ausschreibung also…

Die “European Cultural Foundation” vergibt neuerdings ihre Förderungen ohne Antragsformular.

There will be NO application forms to fill in. You won’t need to add attachments, CVs or visual material: just explain to us in no more than two pages what you want to do.

After the deadline, we will start reading all the project descriptions. Within a few weeks, we will invite those applicants whose projects we found most interesting to write a more extensive project application. This will include all necessary technical details about dates, budget, exact activities, context, etc. The full project application will then be finally assessed by the Grants team and its advisers.

The EU offers a wide range of funding opportunities for the cultural sector. But is that it at the European level?

Well, no. Other opportunities do exist from agencies such as the Council of Europe, from foundations and from trusts and sponsorship, amongst others.

This conference will look at these and other sources of funding, whilst exploring a number of the key issues that are involved in accessing these opportunities.
